About the teacher

 

Mark Fidler has been teaching the AP Computer Science class at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School (www.bbns.org) since 1985. Since the introduction of the AB syllabus, that is the course that he has taught.

 

Mr. Fidler is a graduate of Dartmouth College, class of 1977, where he graduated Cum Laude with an AB in Mathematics. He has taken the following computer science courses:

In addition to teaching computer science, Mr. Fidler has taught mathematics at BB&N since 1980. He has been the Chair of the Mathematics Department since 1993.

 

When he is not teaching, Mark Fidler enjoys Scrabble (at the club and tournament level), cycling, and playing golf, hockey, tennis and baseball. He coaches youth hockey and baseball in his home town. He also enjoys writing, and has published six children’s novels (www.markfidler.com).
