Tips for effectively using lesson plans

Prerequisite:

strong record in math and science, and a willingness to work hard

BB&N offers one computer science class, which is the Advanced Placement AB syllabus. Reasonably strong problem solving skills and desire to work hard and independently are needed for success in this fast paced course. Because there is no lower level section, students for whom the pace and difficulty are too much may be allowed to continue this class on a pass-fail basis.

Texts:

Karel ++ and Java for AP Computer Science

AP exam:

Students who complete the course are expected to take the AB level Advanced Placement exam. BB&N has offered this class since 1985, and students have averaged about 4.5 on the AB exam.
