Class
Meetings, Homework, Tests and Project Expectations
Number of Class Meetings: There are approximately 107 class meeting before the AP Examination in May (this includes test days but not the Fall Term Examination period).
Length of Class Meetings: In a normal week (are there any?), there are two 45-minute class, one 50-minute classes and one 70-minute class.
Homework Expectations: Students are expected to do 60 minutes of homework for each class meeting. Because of the workshop approach of the course, students report that they had to keep up with the homework. Most averaged 60 minutes per night, but work load varied on individual nights.
Formal Tests: Hour tests are given at the end of most units. A term examination is given in January. A two class-period test simulating both sections of the AP Examination is given a few weeks before the AP.
